Welcome to Sebtember.app ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our application, website, and related AI services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service, or have the consent of a legal guardian.

Service Description: Sebtember.app provides an AI-powered knowledge assistant platform where users can query information based on uploaded documents and catalogues.

AI Disclaimer: Our Service utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate responses. While we strive for accuracy, AI can produce incorrect, incomplete, or out-of-context information. You acknowledge that AI-generated responses are for informational purposes only and should be verified independently before making critical technical or business decisions. We are not liable for actions taken based on AI output.

Modifications: We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes indicates your acceptance of the new terms.

Our Platform: All rights, title, and interest in the Sebtember.app platform, including its original code, AI prompt architecture, design, and branding, belong exclusively to us.

Your Content (Catalogue Owners):If you upload documents, manuals, or other files ("Content") to create Catalogues, you retain full ownership of your Content.

License to Process: By uploading Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, parse, and process this Content through our Large Language Models (LLMs) and vector databases solely for the purpose of operating the Service and generating answers for authorized users.

Copyright Infringement: You warrant that you have the right to upload the Content. We reserve the right to remove any Content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.

Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials (managed via our secure authentication provider) and for all activities under your account.

Account Suspension: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or attempt to exploit the AI systems.

Deactivation: You may deactivate or delete your account at any time through your profile settings. Upon deletion, your personal data and uploaded catalogues will be removed in accordance with our retention policies, except where we are legally required to retain it.

Token System: Sebtember.app uses a token-based economy for processing AI queries. Tokens are consumed when generating AI answers and are debited from the catalogue creators whose content contributed to the answer. Querying users are not directly charged for chat consumption.

Purchases:Token top-up purchases are processed securely by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Sebtember.app never receives or stores your full card details — your card is entered on Stripe's hosted payment page. You agree to provide accurate billing information.

Country and VAT:For VAT compliance under EU "place of supply" rules, the country shown on your profile must match your payment card's issuing country. If they differ, the authorization on your card is voided automatically (no charge is made), and you will be asked to update your profile country before retrying.

Changes to Pricing: We reserve the right to adjust the pricing of tokens at our discretion.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, highly confidential, or explicitly offensive content.
• Attempt to "jailbreak," reverse engineer, or manipulate the AI prompt instructions to bypass security or moderation filters.
• Overload the system with automated bots, spam queries, or malicious code.
• Use the Service to generate advice for heavily regulated fields (e.g., formal medical diagnoses or certified legal counsel) without proper professional oversight.

Digital Goods: Due to the nature of digital tokens and immediate AI processing costs, all purchases of tokens are generally non-refundable once used.

Statutory Rights: If you reside in the European Union, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. However, by initiating a query and consuming tokens within this period, you explicitly consent to the immediate performance of the service and acknowledge the loss of your withdrawal right for the consumed tokens.

Technical Errors: If you experience a billing error or a severe technical failure that prevents you from using your purchased tokens, please contact support for a case-by-case review.

Essential Cookies: We use only essential cookies and local storage required to keep you signed in and run the platform — specifically a secure HTTP-only session cookie set after Google sign-in, and your Firebase authentication token held in browser local storage.

No Tracking: We do not use analytics cookies, advertising pixels, behavioral tracking, or third-party marketing trackers. We do not record page views or user behavior beyond what is needed for the platform to function.

Payment Processing:When you complete a token top-up, Stripe (our payment processor) sets its own essential cookies on Stripe's hosted Checkout page to process the transaction securely. These cookies are set on stripe.com, not on Sebtember.app.

Consent: By using the platform, you consent to these essential functional cookies. You can manage browser-level cookies through your device settings, but disabling our session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in.

1. AI Integration and Functionality.Sebtember.app uses third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) services — primarily Google's Gemini API, and optionally Google Vertex AI Discovery Engine for search-result re-ranking — to provide core platform functionalities. These include automated text extraction from uploaded documents, document embedding for semantic search, AI question answering, and search-result reranking.

2. Classification Under the EU AI Act.In accordance with the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act), Sebtember.app operates as a "Deployer" of AI systems. The AI models integrated into our platform are classified as Minimal to Limited Risk. We do not develop foundational models, nor do we deploy High-Risk AI systems (such as those making automated employment, biometric, or legally binding credit decisions). The heavy regulatory and compliance burdens of the "Provider" are managed by our enterprise partner, Google Cloud.

3. Data Privacy and Model Training Guarantee. We strictly adhere to enterprise-grade data protections:

• No Public Training: Your uploaded files, extracted text, and generated embeddings are never used to train, improve, or fine-tune public foundational AI models.
• Data Isolation:All AI processing is conducted within secure, isolated enterprise API environments governed by Google's data protection agreements.

4. Transparency and Human Oversight. Sebtember.app is designed as an intelligent assistant, not an autonomous decision-maker.

• Any insights or analyses generated by the AI within our platform are intended to support, not replace, human judgment.
• Users maintain full control over their uploaded data and are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of AI-generated outputs before applying them to their business operations.

By using Sebtember.app, you acknowledge that you are interacting with AI-assisted features and agree that Sebtember.app shall not be held liable for business decisions made based on AI-generated analyses.
